What will you be doing as a C#/.Net software engineer at Curious Inc?

At Curious Inc we have multiple software solutions using different stacks and languages. Currently, we are looking for an engineer with skills in developing (cloud/web based) software in C#/.Net. The main product you will work on is Autofox and its surrounding services. This product helps driving schools and company educators with their planning, invoicing and communication tasks. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team with fellow software engineers, product owner, solution expert and customer support. Together you are responsible for developing components and features for our Autofox product and related services. The applications you will work on are mostly built with C#/VB/.Net, and, as much as possible, we use and move to Google Cloud Platform for the deployment. Besides that you will be working with tools like Docker, Kubernetes and GitHub. We work in a Scrum manner with sprints of two weeks.

We are in the process of developing more shared services where these services can be used more widely in the company. This means that our various products will be sharing functionality and integrate with one another to add value to our customers. Next to your work in the team, you will be part of the Curious Inc development in which we share “best practices” and innovations across the various product teams. You are most welcome to think and propose with your team the use of new technologies, product improvements and the software architecture.

You are a software development enthusiast with a drive for learning new things. Not only coding quality software but also the deployment and use of cloud technology interests you. This means that you will also contribute and take ownership of the products’ infrastructure (as code) components. Both front-end and back-end component development makes you happy, even though you might have a preference. You can work together in a team but as easy as that get the job done on your own where necessary.

These are part of your professional skills

You have completed a relevant Bachelor or higher degree in e.g. Computer Science, Data Science or other technical field.
A minimum of 4 years professional experience
C#/VB/.Net and asp.net
SQL databases like mySQL & SQL Server
HTML, CSS & Javascript
Docker and Kubernetes, or willing to learn
REST API development
Writing and executing tests to deliver quality software and prevent regression
You are familiar with Scrum and the Agile way of working
You are an EU citizen (or at least you have an EU work permit)
You have at least a professional proficiency in the Dutch language.
